Just discovered them on Vevo this afternoon. They do a pretty decent Foo Fighters cover...
I like a lot of the all-girl groups (or groups with female leads) like Veruca Salt, L7, Lilix, Runaways, Blackhearts, Letters to Cleo, No Doubt, Garbage, Cranberries, etc, and these chicks seem pretty promising to me.
Kristen Stewart as Joan Jet, thanks but no thanks. Same goes for that other girl from some movie that possibly included Kevin Spacey. I hate Kevin Spacey.

I love the song pretender...but that's a pretty lame cover. The instrumentals may as well been ripped off a Foo's song and just replaced it with female lyrics. Gotta mix it up a little...
Lillix were from Cranbrook, BC and signed to Madonna's "Maverick" imprint. Standard fare pop stuff but the girls were cute.
Speaking of female musicians, Orianthi is great. Does some pop stuff also but her guitar playing is incredible. Most recently played for the pederest Michael Jackson on those London shows.

Lillix is so poppy but whenever I hear this song, I can't get it out of my freaking head...
but yes...i agree...total rockets.

They got a new drummer I see, too bad, the other chick was hot as hell.
Glad to see the orginal post mentioned Verruca Salt. Male or female, "Volcano Girls" has to be one of the most finely crafted and catchy songs ever written.

Bratmobile, Emily's Sassy Lime, Devotchkas, Sleater Kinney, Team Dresch, Heavens to Betsy are all decent female rock groups. I don't know if any of them are still around, but I used to listen to them back in the day.
Also, if you into grunge back in the 90s, who could forget L7, Bikini Kill, Jack off Jill, Lords of Acid and Daisy Chainsaw...
Kathlleen Hanna from Bikini Kill is still around and now fronts Le Tigre.

Heart was awesome up until they got taken over by the wave of the 80's. They still play today though and have gone back to their old-school sound. They still rock.
