I remember seeing Bouma and Monahan 2 seasons ago at Charcut (not Charbar lol). Bouma had a massive cast on his hand, and I posted saying that Bouma isn't coming back soon. I got lambasted for not providing "evidence", but the Flames hadn't released any information on him, so I didn't want to get super specific on the forum. I have much better things to do than troll an internet forum. As a fan of the team, I know others would appreciate hearing about what I saw.
Scorpion posts a lot, but he doesn't make things up. He's earned the right to post speculation or hearsay.
I have heard lots about Gaudreau's off-ice antics from what I consider reliable sources. However, I'm not sharing them here because people will go insane, just like they have in the "miss the bus in NYC" thread.
Yeah anything that people don't want to hear is automatically questioned, moreso than what they do want to hear. I don't blame you in the least.
It's different on HF. A trade rumour is a little more stringent as to who can be a source, but you also don't have fans of only one team attacking you, so the commentary towards a trade proposal or rumour is less bias, given that there's fans from all over chiming in.

HF trade board goes like this every time.
1.) Fan of a team makes a trade proposal with another team. Usually lopsided in favour of their fav team.
2.) No matter how fair the offer is or not fans of that other team ridicule the offer. Counter with something lopsided in their favour.
3.) Fan bases of both clubs start belittling each other.
4.) Rivals of those teams start belittling the offer.
5.) Thread gets closed or might as well.

I am now so glad I've never ventured into trade proposal threads over there.
People online are generally just awful to one another. I don't think it matters where you go. Opinions are taken personally (when they shouldn't). Funny how face to face no one has the nuts to say the things they do on the internet when someone brings up a thought. Shows you what people really think in their heads.

Keegan Lowe, Carolina's 13th d-man (and son of Kevin) was traded to Montreal for Philip Samuelsson, Montreal's 13th d-man and son of Ulf, who works for Carolina.
It's really surprising to see a Lowe involved and have it be a nepotistic move for a team other than the grease.

The Habs must be preparing to make an offer for Eberle and needed the final piece that they know the Oilers can't resist -- former Oil King AND the offspring of a former Oiler.

Flyers Radko Gudas left practice early with all his sticks, wonder where he got traded to if he did in fact get traded.
It has already been debunked a few hours ago. The team changed the practice time last night, but he already had a dentist appointment so he was allowed to leave early.

Eaves $1 mil cap hit is very sought after - as the stars inch closer to becoming sellers no one is garnering more interest than Eaves
Wings getting lots of calls on Brendan Smith
before they trade him , they will see what it would cost to re-sign him
getting calls on Vanek and Ott - Wings will be in sell mode pretty soon
Ryan Miller has 5 teams on trade list - 3 of them are in Califorina
Kings may be the only team that makes sense if Quick doesn't come back soon
Vancouver hasn't ruled out bringing back Miller
NHL and NHLPA discussing conference bye weeks where one conference would have a bye week at a time and teams coming off a bye week would be playing against other teams coming off a bye week

Posters should be responsible for the things they post.
Inciting the message board based on a statement he knows to be inaccurate solely for the attention he receives due to the inaccuracies should be a bannable offense in my opinion, Barring that, the rest of the community should be made aware of his failings as a poster so they can do as you suggest, take his posts with a grain of salt or outright ignore him entirely, which is what I normally do except for when he incites the board to respond to his attention seeking behaviour, taking over the thread as a result.
He specifically stated what the situation was, he might be overzealous but at least he's honest.
In case anyone was wondering Francis asked Treliving if he approached Wideman to waive his NMC for the deadline; Treliving declined to comment (as to be expected)

Frustrated by the ratio between how much he costs ($6 million)
Maybe it's a small issue but easily corrected mistakes like this drive me crazy. Wideman's been here for five years now, under the same contract. There is no need to exaggerate what he makes to prove your point, Eric. He's much close to five then he is to six, so you're not rounding up to make it easier.

Wideman's actual salary this season is $6M, while his cap-hit is $5.25M.

To be fair Wideman's actual salry is $6 million this season. Feaster backloaded the contract for some reason.
