So I assume the company who supplies the personalized coffee mugs to the gift shops has pretty much given up.

Nope, those still use the normal names that parents not looking to show off how pretentious they are by giving their snowflakes oddball names would use.
Said snowflakes instead get to experience the disappointment of never finding their names on that personalized stuff repeatedly for their entire lives.

We went with Miles for our little guy a few months ago. No regrets.
Like with our daughter Elise we went with something recognizable, simple to spell and pronounce but not too high on the list of popularity.

Elise is such a great girls name. I really love that name.
Maybe because Elise was cute in AC Unity? Who knows.

Good strong name that is easy to spell and uncommon.

A healthy reminder for others that easy to spell and uncommon doesn't always mean good.

We looked at the y spelling for both. Just happened to be an aesthetic preference for the i versions.

Weird.. I'd heard Declan a handful of times in my entire life when I named my son last year, thought it was unique. Over 100 kids with that or a variant of..
..so glad I did the spelling, not my ex.
