Knowing full-well that lions are an endangered species, why would you go and kill one? What egotistical purpose does that serve? The fact that he did this knowing full well this species is being threatened is the most despicable aspect of this story for me.
Perhaps this guy would like it if someone lured him out to his backyard, shot him with an arrow, let him suffer in pain until the next day, then when he's fully dead, behead and skin him and take photos? I guess animals don't have feelings though, so it's okay.

It's at 634 now and Yelp is actively trying to remove the recent negative posts.

This actually pissed me off way more than I expected it would.

Turns out, yes.

Turns out not only yes, but this is the most uproar I may have ever seen on the internet. This guy is getting eviscerated. Yelp is almost certainly going to have to take his page down with how much activity it's getting (and it's like non-stop too).

I would hope there would come a day when man would have evolved above hunting for sport. Why do so many have the urge to kill animals for fun?

We've already passed that point. There's literally no reason to hunt anymore, even for food.
But it's a good skill to have for the zombie apocalypse.

Same reason this guy feels the need to do this, despite the fact his truck has never seen off-road:

Or toss him over a fence into a lion enclosure at a zoo.
Give him a baseball bat. Wouldn't want it to be an unfair fight.

Predictably remorseless, and hiding behind "legality". The remorse I imagine is coming in a few days when he realizes his practice is never coming back and he can't afford to murder any more animals for fun.

The Facebook page for Bushman Safaris Zimbabwe is feeling the scorn (deservedly) of the internet, too. Some terrible pictures there, including the killing of a pregnant Leopard by the looks of it. Disgusting.

Yeah, his previous history of violating various bans and restrictions when bear hunting casts enormous doubt on his character, there's no hiding behind legality here.
