Surprised that he didn't give Montenegro a pass. Typically they are pretty much unwavering supporters of everything Russian and give him a foot in Europe. Hopefully he burns that bridge.

Right now Putin is the most richest and most powerful man in the world. He owns the entire Russian state and all resources within. He and his group of ex-KGB spies have used all of their cloak and dagger skills to blackmail, silence and kill all their opposition. Anyone internally that disagrees with him is exiled or killed and neighbours are strong armed and slowly annexed.

The Ukrainian overthrow of Yanukovich really made him scared that something similar would happen in Russia so he had to act to prevent being prosecuted himself. If he ever left power and someone else that he was not aligned with took over, he would probably get prosecuted. He learned this is Dresden during the cold war and now he's keeping to focus of the Russian people and the world off of his own shady dealings by causing external conflict.

CTV news channel is reporting right now some debris investigators found at the MH17 crash site contains Russian writing that may have come from a missile system. They have reached out to Russian authorities to help identify the pieces.

Dutch report out today, surprise, surprise it was shot down by a Buk launched from rebel territory. Missile exploded a meter from the cockpit and tore the front of the plane off. Passengers may have been alive for the 90 second descent from cruising altitude.
