So there are many threads on Phoenix in general. I am more interested in places to drink, eat and stay in Scottsdale for a group of guys. Headed there April 25 for the weekend.
I have been twice, loved the golf, but for the life of me could not find a great meal.
Maybe some folks here can help me out with suggestions or advice.
I like We-Ko-Pa. there are 2 courses and I played the Saguaro, which apparently is the better of the 2, but haven't played the other one.
If you like Tequila and Coronas, there's a place called Cocomo Joes I've been to a few times. A tequila and Corona is $5, sometimes, maybe like a happy hour or something. Plus they have huge beers, pool tables, and there is always some kind of interesting people there, for some odd reason.

I don't know much about Scottsdale, but if you can get a hold of Alex Radulov or Andrei Kostitsyn they should be able to help.
We were down there for a stag last spring, ended up at the same bar that Radulov apparently broke curfew at. And seeing how we were all pretty sure there were a few women "on the clock" in that place, I'm guessing he had a good time that night.
There's a huge strip of bars there (picture Whyte Ave like 10 times bigger, and without all the blood & puke) that are awesome, its so spread out that rickshaws take you around if you so desire. Really chilled out scene too, its a fun party scene, but everyone's dressed relaxed, I saw tons of shorts, sandals & baseball hats in the bars.
The, ahem, scenery is ridiculously good too. I'm jealous of everyone who lives there.

Hotel Valley Ho was cool back in 1956 when it first opened its doors, before Downtown Scottsdale was downtown. It's every bit as chic now, after a meticulous renovation.
This mid-century modern landmark offers posh, playful rooms and suites, fab fare at ZuZu, and VH Spa for Vitality + Health. Centrally located in Downtown Scottsdale, the hotel is just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and Old Town's renowned art galleries.
Or if you really wanna have fun go to the Candy store..Use to be 5 dollar lap dances now it's ten..I just found out they upped the price I'm very disappointed.
While I don't have a recommendation on where to eat or drink, I do recommend calling up the local newspaper and tell them you are in town and looking to buy a pro sports team, and enjoy 4 minutes of notoriety........thank me later

Go to the Roaring Fork in Scottsdale. Great food and awesome service. It's like a Mexican/Western fusion. Although they no longer seem to offer it on the menu, when we were there a few years ago they had Dr. Pepper Braised Short Ribs. They were amazing. And the head chef took time to come talk to us as they new we were out of towners and he gave us the recipe for the Dr. Pepper braising sauce.
Awesome experience.
