Default Tank for Celebrini

Nobody knows who’s going first overall but the Flames should really try to get there.

This team is baaaaad and needs some talent. They’ve got a huge head start witb this brutal start to the season. The Sharks look to be the biggest competition, so maybe 2nd is as much as we can hope for.

I think everyone knows it is Celebrini. When Bobby Mac did his poll of scouts it was 9-1 in favor of him going first.

Why tank? We have our 7 year vets and future long term vets to carry us through this for years to come

I don't know. I get this sick feeling that somehow with all the shenanigans Tre pulled in having to move Tkachuk & moving Monahan for Kadri, that regardless of how high any of our #1 picks will be over the next three years, the Flames won't be picking any of them.

There are three franchise altering forwards available then at least half a dozen really good d prospects. Top 5 pick would change the course of this franchise potentially

Watched Celebrini play 4 times this season. He comes as advertised. At 17, he'd be the Flames best player

Youngest player in NCAA. 6 games played, 8 goals 11 pts

Matthew Wood was the youngest player in college last season. He scored 11 goals all season

Trade everyone not bolted down. Markstrom first, then ride Vladar and Dansk as a tandem. Keep Wolf away from this mess.

Make a god damned high pick. For the vast majority of teams it's how elite cores are built. Flames got Tkachuk and Monahan the last time they bottomed out and even then they didn't make any top-3 picks. Lean into being truly terrible for once instead of trying to be "respectable" (mediocre). It's BS that doesn't work.

Vladar-Dansk would be a perfect tandem for a tank.

Seen Eiserman play twice this season. First game was head to head vs Celebrini. In one game, Eiserman outplayed Celebrini

This team desperately needs a fresh start with a new pipeline of talent. This current team is just so vanilla and so unbearably unlikeable. I have zero affinity to the top players on this team. Huberdeau, Weegar, Kadri....I just don't care about them.

Pack it in, for Mack-lin.

I guess I’d have to change my handle to Mega Macklin Fan…

not sure why we can't retain on Kadri + Huberdeau and move them out. I think there is a max of how many contracts we can retain on. If this team does decide to rebuild then that cap space needs to be weaponized. In 4-5 years, $7-8M of dead cap will be meaningless once the team finally starts turning it around.

Where did you see them play each other this season? Eiserman is on the USNTDP and Celebrini is playing in the NCAA
