Well at least the Predators are the hottest team in the playoffs and have a goaltender playing really well. There's hope I suppose.

"Another Oiler bounce, another Oiler goal" - Jim Hughson

Story of the playoffs for Edmonton. When will their luck run out?

Wasn't it Oil fans calling the Flames team horse shoes? That's funny watching 4 out of their past 5 goals...

IMO the story of the second round is turning into goaltending winning series...

- Anahiem outplays Edmonton first 3 games: down 2-1
- Washington outplays Penguins in 3 of first 4 games: down 3-1
- Rangers only in series because of Lundqvuist
- Nashville out goaltending everyone

Every first overall pick I thought their luck would run out.

If a fully healthy Caps team can't beat a Penguins team missing Letang, Murray, Sheary and especially Sidney Crosby, in a game where Malkin was largely invisible save 1 assist... they have no ref to blame for it. They should have won this game. If they want to blame a bad call, go for it, but the bigger issue is likely Holtby's lackluster play or Ovechkin and Backstrom being complete non-factors. And had the ref not missed the blatant high stick on Guentzel, they might've been down more than one goal.

Also, their only win in this series is after an OT pp goal. This series was damn near a sweep for a very handicapped Pens team. The Capitals' issues go far beyond a bad call late.

At this point I've pretty much accepted that the Oilers are very likely making the conference Finals, and probably the Cup final as well, seeing as the hockey gods clearly want them to win it all.

Freakin' Talbot and McDoofus are the only reasons they're even in the playoffs, not to mention a favorable schedule, a whole lotta luck, and a bunch of gifted late-game PPs. Makes me f'n sick.

Over half of MAF's playoffs have been sub 0.900 performances. You'd be paying $5m+ for a coin flip...which we can get in a lot of other goalies for cheaper.
