Rangers only need their backup to play like 10-15 games, so he won't get the chance to screw up too much

Years back I was in a bar in Miami and met this petite Czech girl. Anyway, we got talking, nothing more and she finds out I'm from Canada so she naturally asks me if I know hockey. I say yes, and she asks if I know the guy in question. She says, "He cheated on me. He thinks he's a player but I am da player!" She kinda scared me off and I left with my tail between my legs.

Anyway, weird signing by the Rangers.

Rangers/Benoit Allaire know a thing or two about developing goalies. I predict Pav will become an all-star in 2-3 years

Realistically, we can expect a .920+ year from Pavelec away from that tire fire team.

Feel bad for Steve Mason.

Yep, Pavelec is going to put up solid numbers playing 15 games while the Jets will continue to be a mediocre team with mediocre goaltending.

I'm sure you'll get over it, some how. Some way. Thoughts and prayers.

How many UFA's have the Jets 2.0 signed since inception?

In terms of actual NHL caliber UFA's who played real minutes for them?

Kulikov
Mason
Matthias
Perrault
Frolik
Halischuk
Jokinen
Wellwood

I think that's it, going back to 2011. Honestly, erring on the side of fewer FA signings in July is probably a good thing. It's easier to screw your team up signing a UFA than it is to help it, especially when the team's not a contender.

Not a lot, the above list seems about right.

Realistically you aren't going to build a team with UFA's in a cap world, and certainly not in Winnipeg.
