Default 03/23/2013, Saturday full of afternoon games

I thought I'd start the OOT thread this morning because I have the flu so I'll be watching all these afternoon games today.

Tampa/Ottawa @ 2ET
San Jose/Minnesota @ 2ET
Vancouver/Los Angeles @ 4ET
Boston/Toronto @ 7ET
Buffalo/Montreal @ 7ET
Florida/New Jersey @ 7ET
Columbus/Nashville @ 8ET
Colorado/Dallas @ 8ET
St.Louis/Edmonton @ 10ET

Some good games on today. Particularly looking forward to LA/Vancouver and Boston/Toronto.

Strange that CBC has neither of the games involving Canadian teams on in the afternoon.

The Minnesota/San Jose game is entertaining.

The wild seem to really be coming together over the last 10 or so.

Suter looks like the gave all that money to. Incredible player when you get to watch him regularly.

Brodin is an absolute pleasure to watch as well. Good mix of safety and offensive instincts.

Brutal, this is going to be a dog fight for the Flames right to the end. This one race that I have complete faith in the Flames to win though, nice try today Tampa but just watch the Flames on Sunday, they will show you how a real team lies down.

Not sure who I want to win out of Minny/San Jose. I want there to be no glimmer of playoff hope for Feaster and King to use as justification for sitting on their hands.

San Jose wins, playoff spot moves to 8 points away. Minny wins, the division lead goes to 10.

3 pointer?

*Edit* also want to see Minny do well beat Vancouver for the division title, even moreso since they are out of our division next year

Ottawa ... yikes. I can't imagine what we'd be if we lost Iginla, Bouwmeester, Brodie and Kiprusoff. They just keep plugging along and we'd probably have 10 points.

Ottawa has vets who bring a lot of leadership to that locker room. Alfreddson, Neil, gonchar, Phillips bring that leadership, and these kid just find ways to get it done.

You obviously did not watch the last two games, the Calgary Flames from the captain on down have completely quit. They are no longer trying, which is why on Sunday Tampa will see what they are competing with in terms of a team giving up on a season.

Remember that winning streak with Byron Ritchie as the top line RW?

I do.
