Watching to see if Bennett will challenge for a spot?
The McDavid sweepstakes?
Laughing at the oilers?
Personally for me it's gaudreau. Haven't been this excited about a flame since iggy. I was pretty pumped for monahan too but not to this extent. I personally think he will make the line up and do quite well this year but whether it's with Calgary or Adirondack I am pumped to see what he will do this year.
I'm excited to finally be a season ticket holder, even if it's with the Panthers.
Should be a fun year if you don't have too many expectations. The Flames will lose a lot still, but I'm excited to see how they progress and find ways to adapt when the rest of the league figures out how to beat them regularly (and they will). I'm excited to also watch a Panthers team progress and become something other than a laughing stock. With a new owner and coach, along with Ekblad, Huberdeau, Barkov, Bjugstad etc. this is a team on the rise and should turn some heads along the way. It'll be fun to see how these two rebuilding franchises mirror each other and also differ from each other along their path. Watching the process is exciting for me.

I'm really excited to see Kevin Hayes rip up the NHL. Must be a pretty special player to warrant an 80 page thread to which even the Flames best prospects/players can't touch.
Looking forward to seeing Johnny Hockey, Monahan and hopefully Baertschi tear it up! Colborne, Gio, a couple new faces... Really hoping for another season of exciting hockey regardless of the outcomes. Watching the kids grow and get better will be the highlights once again.
At this point, like every year I'm excited at the thought of the Flames maybe having that perfect mix of youth, skill, poise, leadership, and toughness to actually be in a playoff spot.
All about the kids. Flames have positioned themselves to give several youngsters a chance. Hoping that all 2011 draftees are regulars by the end of the year.
In other leagues I hope Bennett rips the OHL apart and Jankowski has a massive uptick in production to get everyone excited about him
Same situation with Sabres and Flames for me -- hope the kids develop and look great, and if either are bad enough at a certain point look forward to the McDavid/Eichel sweepstakes.
Besides the Kids, I'm excited to see if either Ramo or Ortio steps up to the challenge Hiller brings. If one of those two can show they're also part of the rebuild, I think the Flames will jump ahead a couple years in the plan.
Also interested to see if Hartley is still beloved when the team has a bottom 5 finish, or if the knives finally come out and Burke/Treliving decide to make a change. Hope not, but wouldn't be surprised.
Watching the young guys progress and hoping a number of guys get significant NHL time. If we can get Gaudreau, Beartschi, Reinhart, Granlund and Spoon into 40+ games each we will be on the right track. Any less than that seems like a wasted chance.
