I fail to understand why a high profile guy like TL would deny the story once it got out.

If he was still in the tire kicking mode, then I suppose I get it, but these guys should be smart enough to know that it is hard to keep a lid on this stuff and denying then the inevitable confirmation is stupid.

Friedman still has a presence on CBC's website because he'll still be on CBC. Rogers signs his paycheques now (as of July 1), but the Saturday games are still on CBC.

Apparently he didn't like the use of the word "soon" since his contract goes until June 30, 2015.
