voted for Tonelli. He brought a lot of intangibles to the Flames at the right time. Plus I remember how pissed off that trade made Glen Sather.

Loved Tonelli, I still remember how stunned I was to hear he was traded to the Flames. A year earlier I remember saying I wish he was a Flame and my friends laughed at me saying Islanders would never trade him.

Tonelli was a big reason why the Flames were able to get past the Oilers in '86 and that in turn helped them in '89 so I voted for him even though Vail had a greater career with the team.

I thought it was odd that they bought him out after the 87-88 season. He had two 30+ goal seasons with the Kings after that so clearly he still had something left in the tank.
