Subban gets away with a lot more then a guy like Phanuef would defensively because he's simply a far better offensive player. There are probably two-three other defenders in the league that have the nearly ppg potential from the back end and all of them are hardly top notch defenders. Make no mistake, PK makes the exact same mistakes Dion did/does his own end of the ice.

Also, I don't want to be that guy, but I wonder if race has anything to do with this. He was brought up in a different culture and his comment on Subban having a street hockey style was odd to say the least.

Kovalev sounds jealous. You'd think he'd be happy with the millions he was paid to put in no effort for years. He almost sounds like he wishes he was younger so he could earn even more money.
