Detroit's defense is absolutely brutal. It would be incredibly disappointing if the Flames lost tonight

Sadly, you are right .
Got a Red Wing player who hasn't scored yet all year? Tonight's the night.
Wings want to play the backup goalie? First star
Slumping Wings PP? Time to break that streak.
Lidstromless/Homlstromless Wings? Doesn't matter.
5-2 Wings.

is it just me, or is this pretty much a must win game for the local squad?

Love the thread, we're missing an E and we're 16th!

4-3 DET. Bad 1st period buries the Flames 3-0.

My prediction: We win and every GDT for the rest of the year is titled Flams for good luck! It'll be the new GTD!

And our record is 1-3-21. I think HalifaxDrunk may have lived up to his name this morning.

As inconsistent as the Flames have been the past 5-6 seasons I have renewed optimism this year. They push hard and seem to improve every game....games that could have or should have ended in their favor.
5-2 Flames.
The Flames seem to step it up against Detroit and I see no reason why we can't beat the Lidstromless wings.

I love when they play out east. Come home from work, sit down and hockey.

One win at home this year in their own barn. What makes you think they will play as hard on the road. Flames show no umph in this game with the refs so in favor of the home team in Detroit.
Flames lose 6-1

It's like leading the flams to the slaughter.
Detroit destroys us 2-1 in a shootout. Biggest shootout massacre ever!

I have this as the Flames win on the road trip, 4-2. Iginla gets 2, Cervenka and Tanguay with the other goals.

This just in: Detroit to ice 18 forwards tonight owing to lack of anyone able to play D.
