It's odd, because I love the sport. Love watching and coaching my kids all through minor hockey. Enjoy Hitmen hockey also.

But once games don't matter to the Flames, I just auto tune out. If I have time to watch any game, I switch to one where the teams are playing for something.

If it's a whole season of guaranteed meaningless games next season, meaning out of the playoff contention after Ocrober, it is going to be awful.
I stopped watching when it took them 15 minutes to get a shot against Carolina after the deadline and honestly can say I don't regret it. Sometimes I even forget they're playing.

I don't cheer for losses and shake my head when I see people celebrating them like someone just beat the Oilers but losses don't upset me anymore knowing it might get them a good young player.

Yeah, me too. Thought that would be enough for me to tune in, but it hasn't turned out that way.

Interested enough to read the recap, listen to the Fan960, and appreciate your game stories! That's the problem maybe. The Game Stories are too good Don't need to invest 3 hours

Speaking for myself, this is one of the reasons I want even more call ups. Poirier for example. Like, we already know what Backlund is. Same with Goalman and Mangiapane, etc. Let's get more of the bubble/cusp guys up here and take them for a spin.

Edit: And no more Markstrom for these final games. All Wolf all the time.
