I've been avoiding these board after a bad game like the one in Dallas because CP always seems so suicidal after something like that, but to my surprise, the mood is quite calm and subdued. What's happened to you CP? Who did this to you?
In all seriousness, I think the Flames need some time at home to get their crap together and rest up. That's a lot of road games to start the year for an inexperienced club. I'm surprised they got any points at all.
The Caps are a team that can be outworked most nights, so I think you'll see something similar to the first game where their skill somehow keeps them in a game they don't deserve to be in. Gio and Stemps being out really hurt. I think they've been our 2 best overall (read as 2-way) players so far this year. Glad to see Smith get a chance to play. Not sure why they aren't crazy about him. Also glad to see McGrattan back in the lineup. I think he's been playing his role perfectly so far and his effort was easily seen, even though he isn't overly skilled.
Ramo will put on another spectacular show and still have 4 goals against. I think his stats don't tell his story at all.
