Statistically, Klimchuk is the most improved prospect on this list, and yet he’s dropped in the rankings. I’ll be honest, I actually forgot he was in the Flames system until the last few rounds of these prospect rankings.
He’s the only first round draft pick from the 2013 class that has yet to play an NHL game. I think that changes this year. I have to rely on reports from this site/the media as I don’t watch the AHL, but it sounds he plays a good 2 way game. He seems to be able to put up points if he’s healthy.
I think he could really surprise some people. Myself included, as I keep forgetting about him as a prospect.

Klimchuk, then Shinkaruk, then Karnaukhov.

Yes, yes, and no. I'm pretty sure Karnaukhov is never coming back to north america.

Klimchuk, Shinkaruk, Wotherspoon, Hathaway, Pribyl, Ruzicka, and Ollas Mattsson will get my next votes.

I don't think Klimchuk will ever be an NHL player. He is too fragile.

This is where it gets tough.
Shinkaruk had a meh year in the AHL and never seems to impress when he gets a chance in the NHL. I don't know if his skating is good enough for the NHL. If Hunter stagnates again this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Europe the following season.
Klimchuk had a big improvement in the AHL this past season, but I have a hard time seeing him as a regular NHLer.
Hathaway is a 4th liner at best. Pribyl might be a good dark horse pick.
I went with Adam Ollas-Mattsson because he looks like a big defensive defenseman that could potentially play in the NHL unlike a couple of other big defenseman that Flames have drafted recently.

Doesn't mean that he wouldn't be the next best prospect.

I think high probability he makes it as a bottom six- defensively responsible, team player, skilled, able to play up and down the line up. Maybe next season when stajan and versteeg are up for new contacts

and Shinkaruk didn't show anything in his call up last season.
Wotherspoon for me again although defencemen are generally overlooked.

I would disagree with that.
A prospect that looks unlikely to play for your team or return assets via trade is a poor prospect regardless the reasons why.

Klimmah! Would love to see him on the 3rd or 4th line come the end of the year. I loved the pick back in 2013, and have been pulling for him ever since. Looked good in the A last year, hope he can keep the momentum going.

Karnaukhov probably shouldn't be in the top 20.

Klimchuk for me.
Then it's either Shinkaruk or Wotherspoon. Haven't decided yet on the next round. Probably Wotherspoon since he's a dman and not an undersized one-dimensional winger.
