Polansky and Shapolalov would meet in the semis if the seeds hold.

Pospisil is in Atlanta.

Djokovic almost certainly to miss the US Open...

The US Open is more than a month away but it's unlikely Novak Djokovic will be ready to participate then.

According to a report from Serbian newspaper Sportski Zurnal via tennis.com, Djokovic is almost definitely going to withdraw from the US Open.

Tennis Federation of Serbia's doctor said that Djokovic has a bone bruise from excessive play and needs six weeks to three months of rest.

Novak has officially pulled out of the rest of the season, one year to the day that Roger did the same. Taking inspiration perhaps? But really Novak needs this break mentally as much as physically. I expect the rest will do him well, like Roger, and he'll be back next year and will win a major or two.

Isner takes out Vasek in straight sets in Atlanta, but Denis moves on in Granby.

Schnur is into the semi-finals in Granby and Denis could join him later today.

Edit: We could see another clash between Polansky and Shapovalov for a second straight week, however, this time in the semi-finals depending on how their respective matches pan out.

that win puts Schnur into the top 200 for the first time. That will get him into US Open qualifying.

That's now 5 Canadians in the top 200 with Auger-Aliassime at 224

Polansky is up a set and a break. Shapovalov goes tonight.

Unfortunately Schnur lost to top seed Blaz Kavcic, but Brayden is having a fine season in 2017 (his win on Friday was his 40th of this season).

Peter Polansky defeats Denis (a measure of revenge as Denis won their match last week) and will take on Kavcic in the Granby final on Sunday. Denis didn't have much time to recover for today's match as his match yesterday ended around midnight.

Polansky lost in three sets to top seep Kavcic (6-3 2-6 7-5), but he has moved up to #115 in the ATP rankings. Milos and Vasek are in Washington this week for the Citi Open while Polansky travels to Los Cabos.

Well, that's no good, Vasek lost his opening round match in Washington today - The draw wasn't doing him any favours as he was going to face top seed Dominic Thiem if he had won, still it's another missed opportunity.
