Yeah it just hit me this evening reading what he says. I honest to God think he's a bit special. Definitely not playing with a full deck and I kind of feel bad for engaging with him the past week.

Lol MTG says Haley winning DC is a reason why Trump's trial should be moved out of DC.. he can't have a jury of peers in DC because only 676 people voted for Trump in the DC primary and that's too small a jury pool.

Uh, the jury pool isn't determined at all by who someone voted for.

Next time a cop pulls me over I'm going to ask who he voted for and say he can't fairly give me a ticket unless he voted the same as me and see how that turns out.

These peoples' brains are broken.

AI images of Trump with black people being circulated.

A taxi driver in Atlanta named Douglas told the outlet that he initially believed one of the photos was real, and that it bolstered his view that Trump was supportive of the Black community.

Trump cannot be removed from ballot - unanimous SCOTUS

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...olorado-ruling

Quote:
The court’s unanimous decision overturns a 4-3 ruling from the Colorado supreme court that said the former president could not run because he had engaged in insurrection during the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. The Colorado decision was a novel interpretation of section 3 of the 14th amendment, which bars insurrectionists from holding office.

“We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency,” the court wrote in an unsigned opinion. Congress, the court said, had to enact the procedures for disqualification under Section 3.

I'm sure there'll be lots of opinions about this, looking forward to my usual legal podcasts. On one hand "states rights" but honestly having 50 different criteria for removal seems like a nightmare (though would be a VERY US thing) and saying they need to legislate for clarity around it is probably the right thing.. in theory anyway.

The fact that the partisanship basically means there's no way this would ever get clarified in legislation though...

And really this won't impact the election one bit.. it's not like a swing state is going to disqualify him.

But the zero consequences continues.

Man, what a broken country. The fact that an indicted, traitorous criminal who instigated a violent coup attempt and tried to overturn a free election is still allowed to run for the highest office in the land is absolutely baffling to me. The U.S. is beyond f***ed.

One thing Trump didn't get was a ruling on if he caused the Jan 6th resurrection.

On the contrary, in a free country anyone should be allowed to run. The fact that a traitorous criminal has not been yet been convicted is what is really troubling.

He's just one man. What should be more concerning is the insane level of support he has. The population itself has lost it's ability to look rationally at situations, and don't get to cocky, Canada is right behind with Alberta leading the charge.
