I think this one gets out of hand. We haven't seen a team run Calgary out of their barn yet, but Colorado has the potential to do just that. Gut check time.

Not sure if we'll see Sven tonight if Hartley sticks to his guns - he said Sven has to do something to find his way into the line-up, and without a practice, he hasn't really had that chance yet.

We'll see.

I think it'd be funny if Sven was benched as it would be a good way to chuckle through work at the CP madness.

Let me save Ashasx some time.

If Baertschi plays:
10-0 Flames

If Baertschi is benched:
203-0 Avs

I imagine Ramo may play tonight. Not a great draw for him as he will probably see a lot of rubber.

That sentence seems so wrong in several ways.

Default Flames vs Avalanche - 7:00 - SNet-W

Well, last time I cheered for the opposing team was the last time the Flames won. Being that hockey is a highly superstitious game, here goes nothing.

SO GO AVALANCHE! DESTROY THE FLAMES!

6-2 Avalanche

Not likely.

Colorado is a marginal team compared to both St. Louis and Chicago, and is probably not as good as Minnesota. I expect the Flames to hold their own once again. They should look better playing in this game than against the Blues.

Marginal? They are better than Calgary at every position. They are better than most teams and have beat some of the top teams in the league so far this year. Colorado plays well when they are on a roll. The young kids there thrive when they get some momentum. If they get rolling against the Flames it will be a blowout. The key for the Flames will be to jump out to a lead and then keep the Avs off balance, preventing any major swings in momentum.
