Definitely seemed to take off once Ferland moved up to that line. Lots of chemistry shown with that trio. But just like in Part 1, there are a few clips that seem to suggest Johnny and Bennett have really good chemistry too. Tough to remove Monahan as Gaudreau's centre though, but maybe Bennett could be an effective RW? Or Bennett as the LW and Gaudreau on RW as he was used in the World Championships.

I would be down to remove Monahan as Gaudreau's center - IMO when Gaudreau got hurt Monahan proved he can still produce without him and he becomes more of a driver on a line
I look at the Hawks who keep Kane/Toews on separate lines except when they need a bit of a boost and on the PP.
Tkachuk is already in line to suffer a slight sophomore slump as many do. Especially the way he plays, the league will be ready for him now, and the energy level that he played at may be tough to replicate.
I think the worst thing the team could do for his development is take a super rookie season in a third line, two way role on an awesome line that he formed consistency with and take that away AND bump him up to the top line.
It could work for sure, but I could easily seeing it going the other way setting up a tough second season.

Depends though.
Really the Backlund line gets all the tough matchups - so getting him off that line may help.
Gaudreau is still going to be the most focused on guy at forward by the opposition.
Really you might be able to find a good balance of competition for Tkachuk and Monahan on their own line. Not going to get the other teams shutdown guys since that will still go to Gaudreau/Bennett, and don't face the other teams top line since that is still Backlund/Frolik.
