This just became one of my favourite sports nights ever. Was sitting in a bar with Oiler fans, ten, then 5 minutes left and listening to them celebrating and beaking the win, then 3-1, 3-2, 3-3 and the 2OT win.

Thank you hockey Gods.

I look forward to the inevitable "Oiler fans reacting to the loss" videos on YouTube.

Bringing up the 'glove bump' from the previous game is where he turned from an upset man to a teenage boy.

Haven't been able to sleep tonight. Pleased to hear about the choke job and now find myself gleefully listening to the sorrows of CHED.

General sentiments expressed:
-It's the refs' fault.
-Bush league NHL.
-The fix is in.

So much excuses from Coiler fans. They gave up 3 goals in 3 minutes! Controversial tying goal aside, how did they even let themselves get in that situation? Secondly, if the fix is in how the heck does the league gift the Oilers McSaviour in first place?

The Oilers 3rd goal was pretty controversial...not much mention of that one on SN

With 3 straight losses, the Oiler fans in my Facebook feed have gone completely silent after Game 2. And they were being obnoxiously vocal after every game before.

I don't want to criticize my own choice in friends, but those Oiler fans really deserve their reputation.

My neighbour, otherwise the best guy ever, is an insufferable Oilers fan as well I don't ever want to see the guy unhappy, but........ :P

Is that McTavish on the right? If so, wow he looks like he's 90.

Shhhh... just let them keep whining.., especially internally.

We don't want them to actually learn from their mistakes and have Nurse learn to be a competent defender capable of boxing out a player who gives up 2 inches & 10 pounds to him.

Not that it's something you really learn on the job in the NHL anyways, it's more of a instinct you hone in the AHL.

The Edmonton Oilers: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory since 1990.
