Little surprised Gostisbehere is there over Eichel, but those are three great choices.

Panarin all the way.
Unless its a lottery, then McDavid will win.

I actually think it should be Ghost. 46 points in 64 games is fairly obscene, and it wasn't because of injury that he didn't play the full 82... it was because he didn't get called up for the start of the season and didn't even get a chance until Streit went down. Even more impressive to dominate like that when you weren't even expected to play. I mean, that's a 60 point pace... usually 60 points is enough to win the Calder as a forward, much less a defenseman.
Panarin obviously wins the points race, but let's be honest, if he's playing with anyone other than Kane he's probably 20 points lower.

Ghost Bear! One of the most exciting players in the league.
Obviously Panarin will win it, but Gostisbehere had a brilliant season too. If he had played the whole season, it might have been a closer race.

I also don't think Philly makes the playoffs without ghost. Chicago still would've been good without panarin, and well Edmonton...

Who selects the Calder nominees; is it the League or is it journalists?

Gostisbehere should win this. Will he? Probably not, but he should.

Yeah, figured Eichel would be 4th or 5th. As long as McDavid doesn't win...

Ghost should win but McDavid will win. Pretty frustrating to know that it doesn't really matter too much others do in the league when A generational talent is around to get votes.
Both Panarin and Ghost had a part in their team's success this year, what did McDavid accomplish with his club?

Kiprusoff broke modern day records and didn't win the Vezina because he only played 38 games in 2004
Giordano was the favourite to win the Norris but didn't win because he only played 61 games last season
normally I couldn't care less about awards, but McGarnagle winning the Calder after missing half the season would be a huge joke.

In large stretches they were actually statistically better without him.

That's kind of selling Panarin short. Kane also suddenly scored 20 more points than his average.

Hopefully Panarin has a nice fat Calder bonus and wins it.

I think Panarin will win pretty convincingly.
GhostBear deserves to win though IMO.
