No he's a free agent. No compensation. I believe when he came back for the end of the season and playoffs like 5 years ago that made him a free agent after that.

I'd take Radulov on the Flames every day of the week.

No. We need to keep toxic players like him far away from our young guys

Sure, take a one year flyer on him. If he is coming back to the NHL now, it's for glory. And I think he knows he's not gonna get the paycheck here. His talent makes the team more lethal. If his attitude is all about doing whatever it takes to win, great. Because thats what was missing all the times before.

If he cared about glory he wouldn't have been out drinking at 5 am before a playoff game

Hell yes the Flames should explore it. People are taking this way too personally and quite frankly the Flames shouldn't be making an emotional one, they should be making a business decision. A good asset, contributor and skilled winner is what the Flames need, especially now that Raymond, Hudler, and Jones have left the roster.

Not to mention this is a free asset

On a one year deal for sure, what's the downside? Just bury him in the minors if the worst case scenario happens. Which is very unlikely since he is on thin ice already and this might be his last chance to get back to the nhl.

If he's changed, I would take him. Lots of other places he would pick first though I think.

He's going to cost $5M a year. So...

Works for me because he isn't going to demand much term IMO. $5 million on a 2 or 3 year deal is perfect for a 30 year old capable of likely 60+ or even 70+ points.

People are capable of changing as they get older. I would trust the management team to evaluate his team commitment, if they feel he is sincere then give him a 1 year contract (No NMC). If he craps the bed then put him on waivers, if he clears then eat the cap hit and tell him go back to the KHL. If he works out and fits into the team chemistry then he has a chance to play on the top line and boost his value for the next contract.

I would vote yes to the one year, it's not like we have anyone near his talent level to play #1 RW.

That's a heck of a risk on a 3 year deal. You may think he can score at that rate. I have no idea.

Absolutely. I'm sick of seeing our top line have players like Jooris, Colborne, Hathaway, etc. The guys has undeniable skill, and would catapult our top line to a status it hasn't seen in a long time.

This guy is a top talent and any team in the league would take him if it fit into their salary structure. It would be a steal if the flames could get him on for a low cost short term deal.
