Dallas sure doesn't get the respect they deserve for winning the best division in hockey

They didn't get the Wild because they were lucky and the Hawks didn't get a bad draw...Dallas got the Wild because they were the better team over the course of the season

Yeah better by 1 win over 82 games. That's about as slim of a margin as it gets. How much more respect than STL should they get?

St-Louis was 4-0 against Dallas in the regular season. I think the Stars come out and "upset" them in 6.

Can't imagine a better scenario for the Stars to win. Blues/Hawks goes a full 7 games and St Louis manages to escape with a win. Now just need Seguin back...

Well in the NHL one win can mean everything...

anyway I am not saying they should be massive favorites but some people are talking like the Stars are huge underdogs

I think it could go either way really...all this talk about the Stars giving up goals but the Blues didn't exactly lock it down in the first round.

Well I think DAL might have had a better chance vs the Hawks thin defense. Now they are against a better defense and better goaltending. I want the Stars to win but I'm not sure they can outscore STL in this one. I think defense/goaltending will be the difference.

Does goaltending matter in the playoffs? We'll see!

Go Stars! Hopefully defeating the defending Cup champs in 7 games has drained their energy.

Well this series makes things easy for me, because me choosing between Dallas and Chicago to cheer for would of came down to a coin flip, with me feeling guilty for not cheering for the other team. Yes that first would be nice, but I've been following Chicago since they kicked us out of the playoffs and went on to embarrass the Canucks in '09, but Turco and his three shutouts in the epic series against the Canucks in '07 got me hooked on hockey...

Anyways, this series is going to 7, and I have no idea who's winning it. Go Stars!

St. Louis is a great sports town, but my god, there were A LOT of Hawks jerseys in the lower bowl last night.

Blues in 6 or less. I REALLY want Dallas to win, but the Blues are too deep and have a significant edge in defense and goaltending.

The Stars record is more indicative of how they played against each other. Both teams won in their home rink by the same score of 3-0. The remaining three games were settled twice in overtime and once in the shootout with the Blues victorious each time.
I wonder how many games will go into OT?

Stars take this one in 5 games. The blues look good but I just don't trust them to continue being good. The stars are a good team that I hope will get better against a better team.
