Manchester City have joined Liverpool in being banned from signing academy players for tapping-up two schoolboys – including one aged just 11.

City were given the same length suspension as the Anfield club, a two-year transfer embargo on players registered with a rival Premier League or EFL side in the preceding 18 months, with the second year’s ban suspended for three years.

They were also fined £300,000, £200,000 more than Liverpool, who were last month found guilty of tapping up one schoolboy footballer and offering inducements to him and his family.

Jon Champion was incredibly over dramatic at the end, saying Spurs are in purgatory again, yes finishing with their best season in 30 years with the youngest team in the league is purgatory

Yeah it sucks to lose to that terrible team. I mean really a lucky goal and park the bus for the game was bad to watch. Spurs have had issues with clubs doing that this year though. Just not able to breakthrough, and a big save or two from Adrian and that was that.

Oh well. The title was a long-shot at best, even if we won every remaining game. West Ham still sucks and life goes on.

Fosu-Mensah is injured, sadly. But I fully expect a very "interesting" lineup, it's clear that Mourinho thinks that the quest for top 4 is over. The matchday squad includes youngsters Olosunde, Mitchell, McTominay and Willock.

probably punched a ticket for the Championship today. If Palace gets a draw at home against them next week and Swansea beats Sunderland, they are gone.

Bad time for Marco Silva to lose his first home match as a manager since 2014. Though I imagine he'll be staying in the PL if he wants, you'd think he gets poached from someone in the bottom half of the league, he did as well as conceivably possible given Hull's limitations.

Liverpool-Southampton is still 0-0. A win at Arsenal today and the top 4 door is still open ...

Brutal. Of all the teams that have defended deep against Liverpool this season, Southampton came out and defended the deepest. They didn't even pretend to be interested in going forward.
