I'm glad you said that, neither my wife or I had a clue who either were... we were laughing about being old and out of touch.

I mean it's somewhat of a regular occurrence where I have no idea who the musical guest is, but I usually at least have a general clue who the host is.

Extra! Extra! Old people out of touch with pop culture! Read all about it!

I had to Google them too.

Jim Downey was on Al Franken's podcast and told some awesome stories for anyone interested in the old SNL days.

And for the first time in a long time, I've actually heard of both of them.
I'm excited for this one.
Maybe we'll get another Melanie Griffith/Don Johnson cameo and hopefully JT in a skit or two.

He had great stories on Conan's podcast as well, especially about Norm doing Weekend Update.

That home videos skit is an instant classic.
Good show last night.

Other than the home video I thought the show was awful. Even Weekend Update bad this week.

I liked the opening monologue, liked seeing Fallon and the Barry Gibb talk show, no bag no tag made me laugh, thought JT was solid as a musical guest and enjoyed Weekend update.

What is it about Dakota Johnson that makes it seem like she's totally bored to be there?

Very surprised to see Shane Gillis hosting the next episode. Never really seen him in a sketch setting on top of what should be a very interesting monologue.

Wasn’t a fan of that completely random Nikki Haley cameo last night.

Gillis has sketch comedy all over YouTube. He's very funny. His Trump is about as good as it gets. Looking forward to it.

I had forgotten that Shane Gillis was the cast member that was hired and then immediately fired over offensive jokes used in his past stand up bits.

He did say if he ever hosted he would pull a Budd Dwyer. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

Love that Gillis is hosting. I think it's cool for them to invite him, and cool of him to accept. I'm sure there will be some jokes about it. Lorne is a legend man, the guy just does whatever he wants.

Except for keeping Norm on the weekend update after a bigwig told him not to.

This is true. He'd probably admit to that being a big regret.

I thought Gillis episode was good. The cold open was terrible (really missing the big horses for the political impressions) and the monologue was a littttttttle dicey, but I thought most of the sketches were good. Some odd tension sometimes it seemed, especially at the end everyone was weirdly standing like 8 feet behind Gillis, felt like it was a joke or something? I dunno seemed strange.

I know he goes a little offside sometimes, but I enjoy Gillis. His Trump is awesome they should have him do it through the election.
