The East is up for grabs. Other than the Panthers and the perennially underachieving Rangers and Bruins there are no true heavyweights. The Red Wings are a good choice for a sleeper pick, provided their goaltending doesn't let them down. I'm kinda surprised they don't view Markstrom as an option there. He'd be a huge upgrade over Lyon, Husso, and Reimer. I know Lyon has been good at times, but injuries have been a problem; Markstrom has been better.

It’ll come in handy when you’re the first to hear the new Utah team name via Scorp.

I might've had a link to the FlamesNation website down there at one point long ago. I have since replaced it, as you can see.

Maybe true in the past, but with a masterful ragebaiting troll like The Scorpion at the height of his powers I doubt many people can last a week without needing to create an account to engage with his latest scorcher.
We're really quite lucky to have the Canadian version of Stephen A Smith right here in our very own sandbox

So you're saying TheScorpion wants to have Tom Brady's babies?
Edit: Or wait. Maybe I'm thinking of Skip Bayless.

Kane with his 13th to pull even with the Islanders in the 3rd. Really too bad about that lack of Selke level shutdown winger traits though.

You really don’t have to eat anymore of that if you don’t want to. I’ve never been a fan of the taste myself but I suppose some like it. At least it’s not pubes.

I've never eaten crow myself, but I think you'll want some stronger seasonings, if not outright sauces

All I'll say is Scorp and I are the same age (or within a couple years) and he's living my dream.
I'll buy some of the tasty jelly that some here seem to have about Scorp's success and strong opinions, which happen to be right a hell of a lot.
I'm soaking in this Kane take disaster though haha

A fight broke out at Red Wings practice today amid frustrations over the team's six-game losing streak
https://twitter.com/user/status/1767956343510499433
The Red Wings remain one of the weakest teams in the NHL in terms of shots and chances. But Dylan Larkin is gone for the time being, and the goals have now dried up, too. Kane has one secondary assist in his last five games.
The underlyings haven't actually changed all that much without Larkin in the lineup. They're still getting smoked under the surface pretty regularly. But we're now seeing the regression hit absolutely everyone, and the scores are becoming lopsided, too.
You can't keep getting pummeled defensively and expect to keep winning, even against teams like Buffalo and Arizona. In fact, Buffalo has now crawled into the playoff race ...

Who could have predicted this losing streak though

And I'm not even saying Kane hasn't been a great player. One of the best offensive wingers of all time.
It is easy to get caught up in the goals and assists, and it's understandable when DET is winning, but the numbers that I'm citing are predictive. When you're constantly being outshot against the weakest opponents in the league, you're probably going to start losing. That's not exactly a new idea. And with Kane on the ice in his latter years in Chicago, that's what happened. He scored a ton and gave up a ton more. And I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts that it'll happen in Detroit, too.

He scored. I get it. But much like the Flames faceplanted in 2015-16, a similar reckoning is coming here. Under the surface, the Red Wings grade out as one of the very worst teams in the NHL, roughly on par with CHI and SJ.
