Just a friendly jab, I'm all about Tranmere at this stage! Besides, its hardly the 'downfall' its just one of the competitions that any team from League 1 is highly unlikely to win.

Sorry if its a tad overzealous, I'm getting caught up in this team.

I'd be interested to know how much their stuff runs, I got 2 jerseys off Ebay and both for very reasonable prices.

Do I understand the Cup system correctly: if the Rovers lose they are out?
Which jersey do you think is cool that people disagree with?

I know, I know - I'm only kidding.

After suffering an evening of abuse at the stadium, I can cope with a bit of friendly banter here on CP.

Besides, it'll be coming straight back the other way as soon as our fortunes change

Tranmere sign a new Striker on Loan.
Quote:
Tranmere have today signed striker Kayleden Brown on a one month loan deal from West Bromwich Albion.

"He's strong, athletic and has a good scoring record and I'd like to thank Roberto Di Matteo for allowing him to come to us on loan."
Kayleden will be available for Saturday's match at Huddersfield Town.

Well fellow Rovers, I've decided to rock the white Rover's jersey to rec soccer tonight, so if anyone is at the soccer centre today and sees the guy in the white 'WIRRAL' Rover's jersey, that's me! Haha!

Already gotten a few quizzical looks!

"It looks like a British jersey, but I don't recognize it..."

"Must be new..."

Sweet...

Tranmere Rovers travel to top of the table Huddersfield Town this weekend hopeful of picking up their first points of the season.
Huddersfield have spent big in the transfer window this summer, but Rovers will still be confident of picking up at least a point following their 3-3 draw here last year and their 1-0 away win over Walsall in midweek.
This will be a stern test for Les Parry and his side, but Rovers are expected to bring a large following to Yorkshire, with the journey being one of Tranmere's shortest this season, and hopefully the fans will help spur their team onto a victory.

Red card for Huddersfield with about 3 minutes left plus injury time. A chance for Tranmere to steal one!

Tranmere v Bournemouth preview

Quote:
DATE:Sat 21 Aug 2010

TIME:
15:00

VENUE:
Prenton Park

Tranmere boss Les Parry will check on the fitness of goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen ahead of the home clash with Bournemouth.
Nielsen, on a six-month loan from Manchester City, played in the opening-day defeat against Oldham but then sustained a thigh injury during international duty with the Faroe Islands.
He is looking to be passed fit for this weekend but Joe Collister, 18, will hope to retain his place after keeping a clean sheet in last Saturday`s goalless draw at Huddersfield.
Parry, who has no other major concerns, said: "Gunnar is heads and tails for the weekend, so we're a bit unsure about whether he's available.
"But Joe has played 180 minutes and if he doesn't play on Saturday he will be very unfortunate."
Bournemouth could be handed the boost of having star striker Brett Pitman available for the trip.
Pitman hit a hat-trick in the 5-1 hammering of Peterborough last weekend but was expected to join Premier League new boys Blackpool after the clubs agreed a fee in midweek.
However, after flying up to the seaside resort the 22-year-old failed to sign on the dotted line and remains a Cherries player for now at least.
A club statement said: "Brett travelled to the north west to discuss personal terms but failed to agree a deal."
Veteran forward Steve Fletcher continues to be dogged by a heel problem and it remains unclear when he will be able to return.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe is also without the services of long-term absentees Mark Molesley (foot) and Steve Lovell (ankle), with the latter expected to return in October

I thought that first yellow card to the Huddersfield player was a harsh call as it looked like he poked the ball first. But on further review, I think that the Tranmere player got a quick touch instead thus warranting the card. Plus, the guy's body language to the ref was fairly apologetic and accepting of his card.

Too bad that Tranmere couldn't capitalize with the man advantage.
