UFA Questions? Interested in signing someone?

Hi Guys,

I have seen a lot of questions about accessing the UFA page. I can tell you I don't think I have ever looked at that page in my 10ish years playing this game. This is what I do.

If I see a guy that I am interested in signing, I do this:

Step 1. Go to "CPHL Home"
Step 2. Go to "Rosters"

From that screen you can search any name you want. If there is a guy you want and it says "Search did not find any players" or you don't see you guy listed there, you are good to go. Also, if there is a guy you want and a team comes up next to his name, sorry, he belongs to someone else.

I suggest doing a search for last name first. If nothing, search the first name and make sure the spelling isn't different, this sometimes happens.

If however you don't have a specific guy in mind and just want to peruse who might be available to quickly fill a position if there were no trades, scouring the UFA page was a great option that I used multiple times during the years. Unfortunately that page now seems to be missing and it is not available to utilize for the game.

Right, but that's not an option right now, that's why I made the post.

Yeah I don't know why we can't get that page to work.

These are the players in the sim not assigned to teams. It includes unsigned rookies (e.g. McDavid), but if you ignore that you can see rated players who are not on teams.

I also made a player database in excel, should be able to download it or view it right on Google Sheets. All unsigned players are listed as team UFA, this includes any player on the website. I've updated it to yesterday and believe it is all right but take no responsibility for it's accuracy. I'll try and keep it updated as best I can.
