The Washington Capitals just took a 1-0 lead on the Oilers.

Edmonton is no good.

Oilers being dominated. Should be 4-0 at the very least.

Except they are not.

Pretty close game but Oilers have had more chances.

Are you serious? I watched the first 15 minutes of the Oilers game and they got dominated.

Switched from the Flames game after the first was over and the Capitals spent a good two minutes in the Oilers zone.

Except they didn't but that's ok.

Washington has at times dominated in the 2nd here. But take out that 2 minutes it's been pretty even.

Jordan Staal scored 79 seconds into the game, 1-0 Hurricanes after one period.

Draisaitl scored early in the second period to tie the game 1-1 after forty minutes. The Oilers have the edge in shots 24-18.

Williams scores unassisted at the 5:48 mark of the third period, 2-1 Capitals!

The Capitals hang on for the 2-1 regulation win over the Oilers. The shots were 31-26 in favour of the Oilers.

The Hurricanes now have a 3-0 lead after forty minutes. Lindholm and Stalberg scored.

The Coyotes and Stars are tied 1-1 after one period.

Hanzal gives the Coyotes a 2-1 lead, now late in the second period. Vrbata with two points.

Oilers 2-9-1 in the last 12. Didn't know they were struggling that much. Good!

Klingberg scores a late power play goal, 2-2 now after forty minutes.

Watching the highlights it looks like they gifted McDavid the assist he got. To me it looks like the caps player had possession but the other caps player knocked it off his stick at which point Draisaitl shot it.

That's interesting because there was goal earlier this year where the goalie had full possession and gave it away and McDavid ended up with an assist.

Jamie Benn scores and it was assisted by his brother Jordie Benn, 3-2 Stars three minutes into the third period. Oleksiak has three minor penalties so far.
