Totally did read the article, thanks. I do that before I post a response. Makes me look a little less like a dumb ass usually. If you think the social media person isn't sanctioned by management, yer as delusional as oiler fans.

Sure they have rules and guidelines about what they can and can't do, but I highly doubt joking about how they don't do the wave there is one of those things. Only a complete moron would think that.

My biggest issue with the wave is that it was supposed to be a distraction to players with free throws or to kickers. Now it's just "hey look at me, I'm doing the wave".

Kamloops Blazers games in the 90's ruined the wave for me. They would always play that lame Beach Boys song, "Catch a Wave" every time a wave started.

I was flipping channels the other day and I run across the Blazers/Oil kings game on Tuesday. I see the crowd doing the wave, and then I hear that f#*&ing song.

Awesome. I love it when people tell other people how they should behave if they are a true fan.

I half ass wave. I'll raise my hands up, only because I don't want to be the person who doesn't go along with the fun... and I'm almost always with my kids at a game. I don't want to teach them to be a stick in the mud. I want them to learn to participate. I have a friend who is a stick in the mud and his kids are closely following his foot steps.

If there was never a wave again, I wouldn't care. Although, On Feb 1 against Minnesota, some drunk guy came down to section 105 to start the wave. It was a a bit amusing to watch him try to start the wave. He distracted himself a couple of times. I was surprised that he got it going.
