Sadly, I wouldn't say it's becoming. I think it's been like that for a very long time. I wouldn't be surprised if wasn't much worse prior to the age of social media. Still an absolute joke, no question there.

They are as giddy as schoolgirls over at riderfans.com with all of the acquisitions the Riders have made this off-season. Last time I checked, none of these guys made a defensive tackle on the field last season

Christmas came early for Saskatchewan. Got the top 2 candidates for the job? Sign me up. Murphy is highly respected as possibly the best personnel guy/scout in the league. Maybe the Riders will finally have some depth and a fricken middle linebacker. Still not expecting a miracle overnight but this is definitely a huge step in the right direction

Agreed, Stamps special teams were not very good last season, way too many penalties coupled with a lack of game-changing returns (both punt and kick-off returns). As far as special teams coverage was concerned, it was just okay (and I think that's being generous considering the game where Rainey took two returns to the house for the Lions).

Cole Huffangel (Johns son) is expected to join Calgarys front office. He spent 10 yrs as a scout for the NY Jets.

Eric Rogers has 11 NFL workouts scheduled so far. Had one with New England on Friday, up next San Francisco on Monday.

“Joe played great football at cornerback for us and it was unfortunate that his season was cut short by injury,” said Hufnagel. “I look forward to seeing Joe back at full strength and speed in training camp so that he can try to pick up where he left off.”
A four-year CFL veteran, Burnett played three seasons with the Eskimos before signing with Calgary on Apr. 10, 2015. He was a CFL all-star in 2012 when he led the league with six interceptions.
“I enjoyed my first season with the Stamps and I’m working hard to come back strong in 2016,” said Burnett. “I just want to put my hand in the pile and contribute in any way the team needs me.”
