Update: #RedWings acquire third-round draft pick in 2017 @NHL Entry Draft from the @NHLBlackhawks in exchange for right wing Tomas Jurco.

Darn. Probably the right team to turn him around. He's one of the red wings I think has suffered under their coach since he replaced Babcock.

Kid of secretly wanted him on the Flames but it want a dire desire.

Blackhawks have been focused on Jurco for the past six weeks. Was the guy they wanted.

Jurco was on the outs in Detroit. A 3rd is a fair price I'd say. It gives Detroit a small chance at recouping an asset, and the Hawks get a player who could potentially be one of their many "talented yet underwhelming forward plugs roster spot" players.

Considering we got bollig for a 3rd, this isn't a high price at all. Wouldn't go any higher though.

Grigorenko had one adequate use -- helping trick the Avs into giving us O'Reilly.

Other than that he's pretty much bad. Not a great defensive game for a bottom 6 player, and not nearly enough offensive game for a top 6 players.

I mean, the guy has played on 3 of the 4 worst teams in recent NHL history. One could argue he might not even be in the league at all if not for that.

Pretty steep for a 24 year old who hasn't done much of anything at the NHL level. But it would be foolish to argue against the Hawks' scouting department.
