Go to Home Depot and buy some 5 gallon buckets.
Go up in attic and find the area below the drone.
Drill a hole in roof and retrieve the drone.
Place bucket under hole.
Call roofer to repair hole.
Drain and replace buckets until repair complete.

I can't believe there has not been a single post about how flying a drone in Calgary is "illegal". I mean the cops put out that super professional flyer that people believe is a legal document with do's and don't's.
To chime in I would totally chalk it up as a loss, I used to live in that area and those tall skinny houses are an absolute pain to get up on.

Phone a roofer and ask them for a free roof quote.
Make them inspect the top roof, because "you think some shingles might have blow off"
Act surprised when they retrieve all of your toys.

Can you get on your neighbors roof, looks like about a 2' jump from roof to roof.

Well you can put my old roommate down as number one. And, uh, my other old roommate as # 2. I lived with some stupid people.

I used to have a very similar house plan. Unless you have a really long extension ladder, it is a pain in the ass to get up there.
What I did is use my regular extension ladder to get on the roof of the garage. Next nail a 2x4 kick plate to your garage roof. Pull up your extension ladder onto the garage roof and set it up against the kick plate and proceed onto your 2nd story roof.
You'll need a couple dabs of blackjack roofing cement to patch up the 2 small holes in your shingles from nailing up the kick plate.
Good luck

Rent this bad boy. Bonus points if you hang it out of a 6' pickup box on the way home.

Is it possible to "jog" the device and use the momentum from the propellers and friction to bring it towards the gutters ?

there was a guy looking to get satisfied on weekends with strangers, by helping with odd jobs etc. Forget his name, but might be something he'd be willing to try.

Yes it does!
That was a pic taken off Google Maps from before we bought the house. Nice job by the previous owners, eh? There is a rail there now.

I think it landed upside down. The kids tried to fly it down but of course that wasn't very successful because of its orientation. By the time I got home, the battery was dead.
