For all the talk about how the league is rigged etc now would be a great time for Bettman to give one of his biggest supporters in Murray Edwards a thank you.

It would be a little bit funny to me if our first ever lottery win/1st overall is the year that people are excited about getting the next Iginla. Not that I would be upset but it would be a little bittersweet. As opposed to say winning it in 2025 and getting Iginla and then hagens.

According to the Athletic, scouts place him 5th among the last 9 players drafted 1st overall. Consensus number 1, but not generational. So Jack Hughes, not Auston Matthews.
