“You have to make them feel uncomfortable. Because as soon as you start giving them the same scenario too many times, they adjust in a fantastic manner and they're the best in the world at that,”
He'll face some good competition at Delray.

I haven't seen any discussion yet about Laver Cup, the post-US Open Euros vs. World tourney. it looks like it could either be horrifically one sided (Team World would be led by Milos, Nishikori and um.....?) or just bad in general because everyone's torn to shreds by that point in the season.
but we might get a Fedal doubles team...if it works out, I hope they make plans to become doubles players after singles retirement, and get themselves that Calendar Slam.

Is is just single rankings?
The Top 6 non-European players are Raonic, Nishikori, Kyrgios, Sock, Isner, and Johnson

Nishikori just dropped the first set of his match in Rio against Bellucci and ended with a temper tantrum. Been a while since I've seen a guy destroy his racket the way Kei did.

it can't be just rankings, since they had Roger and Berdych hawking it the other day and neither of them currently even qualifies. there's a good chance by that point the bottom Euros Thiem and Cilic will be supplanted by Fed and Dimitrov anyways.
if it's selected by the captains, there's not even a whole lot they could do to fix that World team, other than making sure Delpo is in. geez I'd almost rather have Felix in there as an underager than that sad sack collection of American journeymen.

Serves him right for going to a clay event during hard court season.

Having never been to a clay court tennis match, I was surprised by the following from the video:
1) They rake up the lines and repaint them at the end of a set on clay courts
2) They can do this in about one minute (from the 0:35 mark to the 1:35 mark)

The lines are not paint. Clay court lines are tape that is pinned in place - this is why you often see players react poorly to unpredictable bounces when the ball jumps off the lines.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense. It looked like the lines were chalked/painted as they disappeared when being raked, and I couldn't figure out how they could be redone so quickly.
night session in del ray beach tonight would be fun to see
Raonic vs Edmund
followed by
Querrey vs Del Potro
i looked up tickets they're $50-100 :P
Looks like the fans in attendance saw a heck of a match between Milos and Kyle Edmund, Milos prevails by a 4-6 6-3 6-4 score and is into the semi-finals.
