I think were going to see a break out game for cervenka. I think Him, Hudler, and Stajan are going to see top 6 minutes (15 minuteish) and are going to get 2 goals for us. Along with Iggy on the PP, Glencross even strength, and Stempniak continues his streak on the PP from a rebound shot from Wideman. 5-2 Flames. Book it.

It seems like forever since the Flames have played. Definitely looking forward to the game.
Kind of an early season must win. If you cannot beat the Avs in your own barn, what hope do you have to make the playoffs.

There are so many reasons why this game should be a gimme. If this Flames team is anything like last year's team, it's a definite loss.

Avs missing Landeskog
Avs missing Downie
Avs missing O'Reilly
Avs playing 3rd game in 4 nights
Avs playing back to back
Avs on a three game losing streak
Flames well rested, and relatively healthy
Flames last game was their best and most complete game
Avs win.

Flames should win this one rather easily.

In all of his speculative tweets, he always states that it's speculation. In the comment about the lineups, he said it's his best guess. In his tweet about Cervenka, he says "perhaps more to it than conditioning". That does not seem very unprofessional to me, he's just trying to keep the fan base informed on the day-to-day stuff. Some people like having that access and others don't. If you can't handle any speculation, stick to the Flames website, it's got all of the information as soon as it's confirmed.

half decent teams dont' lose these games.
It is yet to be determined if the flames are a half decent team... Curious to see if Saturday's game was :
1) Oilers just not on their game and/or flat out suck
2) Flames revved up for a big rivalry match at home so played their best
3) Hopefully, flames figured out the gameplan/systems, and are beginning to see it being executed for more than a period.
4) a little bit of all of the above

Or rather, the days of yore...
Twitter is the best and worst thing to happen to the media - it allows for quick dissemination of information, accurate, misguided, or outright fabricated.
A guy like Roger has to be active - if he isn't, he drops off the radar of followers. Better he posts things clearly labelled as speculated, that are related to hockey, than random posts about his favourite lollipops...
As for the game - Flames need to come out strong. The Avs have played a lot lately, which means they may tire, but the Flames have had those days off, which can lead to a slower jump. A tired Avs team, with a guy like Giguere in net, who always seems to play well against the Flames... that team can hold onto a lead. Flames need to take the game to the Avs from the start and wear them down more, leading to 5-5 goals or to lazy penalties. But I worry what could happen if they stumble out of the gate

Against one of the worst teams in the NHL even he should. Also expect Jbo to receive all the praise in the world (like against Edmonton) after tonights game!

Iginla has looked pretty good so far this season, but hasn't managed to pot one away yet. Hatty for him tonight.
