Default Anyone been to Miles City, MT in the last few years?

Looking for opinions on the town. How does it compare to other small towns you have been to or lived in? Thanks in advance.

I've never been, but our company has a shop there.

The people I've talked to that have tried living there absolutely hated it. But they were city people and that outcome probably would have been the same if they moved to Brooks, Lloydminster, or Swift Current.

The main complaints were that there was nothing to do.

For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.7 males.

Obviously I had already been to the wiki page but I missed that nugget! I am sure my wife will be impressed by that ratio!

It's your typical Class A (you know what I mean) Montana railroad town. There are a few restaurants, a quaint downtown shopping area, etc. Comparable to Havre, if you've ever been there. The Bakken is bringing a bit more population/business to the area, which in turn brings increased cost of living. Nothing compared to what most of CP is accustomed to, of course.

It would take a seriously good job to get me to move there. Mrs. Moe describes it as "2 hours from nowhere". It's consistently the hottest town in Montana during the summer months, 90's every day, 100+ often. I will admit that the Bucking Horse Sale is a damn good time...

My Great Aunt has lived there for 45 years, God bless her. Then again, when you come from Wolf Point, it probably seems like paradise.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

I've always wondered, how is that pronounced? Is it like Brett Favre, or as it is spelt?
