The option is to not enter the thread then. The OP is pretty clear about having to choose one. This isn't that difficult.

The guy couldn't sell his Calgary house fast enough after he got traded. He's not really into Calgary.

Always being one to follow instructions, if I had to sign one it would be Iginla.
I think he could be a valuable asset in a long, grueling playoff run...

I'll take Jagr while the other 2 can retire.

Yeah, I absolutely think things were great, family-like, as you said, until he was sent packing. The trade seemed like it rubbed Iggy the wrong way a little bit.

The OP said if you had to pick one which would it be? There is 3 options and none is clearly not listed.
If you want to cast a "none" option, dont vote. Seems pretty simple to me.

Well how many threads do we really need on the topic and let's be clear the Flames don't have to sign any of them so the topic is flawed in the first place. Have all the options here and see where the chips fall.

Heart definitely says Iggy if I had to choose one of the 3. I just want to hear Beasely's "Jaaroooooomme Iginla!" announcing the cup winning goal. Oh man, the euphoria would be unimaginable.

I dont know how much you can really extrapolate from that. That is not uncommon especially since we all know that Iggy didnt stay in Calgary during the off-season, as I recall hes a Kelownafornian.
So once he was no longer here it doesnt make much sense to maintain a residence somewhere you're never at. He moved his family to Boston so it wasnt like his wife and kids were still here or anything.
And its not like he sold it at a steep discount just to GTFO ASAP.

Thats entirely possible and, like you said, its just a feeling. I dont have any inside info either, but Iginla probably had lots of opportunities to leave and may not have appreciated being kicked out.
If hes bitter at Calgary or the Flames because of the trade...well...I dont know what to say about that. It was a long time coming, it was well overdue even. I think it was handled relatively respectfully, as much as it could have been, hell, they even traded him where he wanted to go in exchange for a bag of pucks. Not much more you can do.

Hi Erik, I'd like to introduce you to CalgaryPuck in the Off-Season.
Off-Season CalgaryPuck? Meet Erik.

If I absolutely had to pick I would choose Jagr. A legend that still has a bit left in the tank and the traveling Jagr's would be in heaven. I have to agree with the poster who says Iggy probably has hard feelings toward the organization, I don't think he has any ties or attachment to Calgary anymore. I think if he thought Edmonton would give him the best shot at winning a Cup he would sign there, legacy be damned. I absolutely hate Doan, as I stated before I might actually take a year off watching hockey if he signed here.

Would it though? Jagr's teams have made the playoffs in 2 of the last 7 seasons, and one of those, he was a deadline acquisition for a team that won the cup the previous year. He's been a Panther for 3 seasons and that team seems to be going backward, despite having a number of promising young players.
Not saying it's entirely his fault, it obviously isn't, but where is the proof that he has any great positive effect on the teams he's on?

Threads are so cheap they're basically free. There may be lots of them. You can complain and look whiny or just ignore them.
Sometimes its even fun to suspend reason and participate.
Take myself for instance, I would love it if we signed Jagr. The guy is epic. Granted the local 20-year old girl market would likely dry up but as a married man that affects me not at all.

Success in the NHL today is built on strength and speed.
All three of these names fail the speed test - so pass on all!

Jagr for a year, Iggy for a day (then retire) and Doan we should sign to an contract for the oilers, he'd make any team worse.
