He is still odds on favourite to be Trump's running mate.

BTW, I did hear a report that he was responsive...basically a tiny step up in terms of credibility from a friend who was at Orange Julius though.

Apparently he has bad asthma and this has happened before. Hopefully it is just an asthma attack.

Collapsing during concerts isn't new to Meat Loaf.

He collapsed on stage in 2003 and 2011.

I was going to come in with a South Park "OMG! Edmonton killed Meatloaf!"

Hope he's okay.

I hope that he's ok. I'm thinking that he's just getting too old to be doing his kind of performing anymore.

Apparently it was severe dehydration that caused him to collapse. Really dry meatloaf is the worst.

He must have something underlying as he cancelled and was admitted to hospital in MJ a couple hours before showtime last week.

He's long had various medical conditions, including throat surgery. He's had very bad asthma for longer than he's been singing.

I think making jokes out of a potentially life and death situation is just low. I would anything for laughs, but I won't do that.

Doesn't this guy collapse fairly easy? I seem to recall a few times he collapsed on stage.

I don't think he is the healthiest dude in the world.

Since most people missed the link Ben posted, yes he does this quite a bit and jokes about it.

n early August the extroverted sexagenarian, who has also appeared in 53 movies including The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Fight Club (''it was hard just moving with that 43-pound suit, the breasts were 20 pounds!''), passed out during two shows in Pittsburgh and then again in New Jersey, much to the distress of his millions of fans.
But it is all old news to Meat. ''In 1978 in Melbourne, they put a picture of me on stage saying that I was dying. I mean, the band sees me and they don't ever pay any attention to it, they just walk past.''
