Getting Micah Johnson back was key for me and their biggest priority IMO. Such a key player on that D. Glad he is back.
Dan Federkeil is also a free agent. Losing Dennis and Federkeil would absolutely gut our OL.

Not sure if gut is fair. If no one comes back your starting unit is probably:

Williams - Bergman - Lavertu - Erdos - Wilson

That is still a top tier line IMO. Depth is iffy, but can be addressed. I quite like Williams, been impressive whenever I've watched him play.

Not worried about Federkeil, who's mostly hurt anyways.

As Cross mentioned OL will be ok, although I'm not high on Williams. I think Richards will win the LT spot.

Richards-Bergman-Levertu-Erdos-Wilson
Williams-Grozman-Lavoi-Thorn As backups

I bet the focus at the draft will once again be OL.

Losing Dennis doesn't hurt that badly.

I don't doubt that the stamps will probably pick an olineman in the first round again.

I disagree - Oh sure, you can find somebody to trot out there fairly easily, but the guys that rack up 1,000 yard campaigns time and time again are tough to find and all we have to do is look back at the Grey Cup to see how important McDaniel is to the Stamps offense and to Bo Levi Mitchell.

Good to see Marquay re-signed. When your MOP starting QB is posting twitter that he needs to get re-signed, I think you need to listen to him.

Meanwhile international OL are replaceable. Sure, Dennis was the best in the CFL last year, but its not impossible to find a reasonable replacement without breaking the bank.

Under Huff, Stamps let Best OL winners and All stars walked twice in Archibald and Bryant, and in both cases arguably found/had better talent. I have a lot of faith in their ability to build great O lines.

Sad to see him go, and that left tackle spot is a tough one to fill. But was he more about teh sum of the parts of the offensive line in Calgary?

Or much of a running game to block for.

A couple of members/owners that know him have estimated that there was a 50k difference between the Stamps offer and what he wanted.

They also figure that he's probably been signed in the 210 range by the Riders, which makes him one of the highest paid linemen in the league.

Its a good move, but I don't think its going to make that much of a difference for the riders who have the worst QB's in the league and no running backs, and even thier receiver core is looking a little rickity.

The riders supposedly won the free agent sweep stakes last year, and it got them nowhere.

Nice. Some of the free agents who followed Jones to Riderville are now fleeing. Edmonton today signed two of the traitors.
