I love Mercy's gun. I'm actually better with it than I am Tracer's. It's just that pesky problem of heal/buff being primary function getting in the way.
Played a bit after work to see how the new patch changed things. In QP at least, it's become all D.Va, all the time. By the end of our last match, there was five of us between the two teams. The other side had three, and just kept nuking in a rotation.
God love Bastion. Played a team in QP that cheesed all Zenyattas on a point defence map. They overran us in literally 15 seconds on the first point. So I haul out 'git good' and solo team killed them on the second point. Gave my team a chance to set up a defence they couldn't beat. We successfully defended that point for almost 10 minutes straight.
That is perfect. I have two friends that I've got very interested but not wanting to drop the money on it. This should push them over the top and I can have people I know playing lol
That Sombra character is already annoying as hell. People instapick her worse than Junkrat. About 5% (who clearly played the PTR) are good enough with her that she is essentially an even more unhittable Tracer, while the other 95% are off picking their ass while hacking medpacks and leaving their teammates in a perpetual 5v6.

Just got into this game. Pretty fun. Soldier 76 (or whatever) is definitely my best hero so far, as anything more complicated than a gun and a bigger gun is too much for me. (Which is weird because the only other game I play is dota, which requires me to do all sorts of funky stuff to play well.)
I've just always sucked at first person shooters. It's a weakness.

Season 3 starts tomorrow, hit level 25 and do your placement matches.

1-0 so far. Good games when everyone's serious about it.
Got placed high silver then won my first competitive match to get into gold.
I think the key in placement matches is playing with multiple characters. I stuck to my usual support throughout all my placement matches and was quite surprised that I was silver seeing how I was high gold last season playing junkrat, 76 and pharrah in my placement matches. Maybe it is just less love in support?

There was certainly some bias against supports in regards to skill rank gains in previous seasons. Don't know if that's the case this season.
Definitely want to be able to be flexible and play multiple characters as this game is dependent on players being flexible with heroes and tactics.
Been trying to main the tanks (Reinhardt, Zarya, D.Va, Winston) and while that's gotten me oh so close to Diamond, still need to be able to pick up support and a DPS on the side.
