A spray bottle with a 50:50 water/white vinegar mixture does wonders for odors. You might be able to save a few bucks spraying down anything you feel can maintain odors yourself and then opening windows and letting the unit air out vs waiting for some cleaners adding a fee for odor removal.
I'd suggest an air duct cleaning as well, but the necessity of air duct cleaning is generally quite low in apartments. I do suggest however seeing if you can get the dryer duct cleaned (if you have one). That's more for safety and improved dryer performance than a necessary clean.
The others probably have better suggestions for a cleaner.
