First Sorry for your loss,
second, go see a doctor, remember you don't have to go along with their advice but it's better to ignore a doctors advice than not have the advice in the first place.
Third, this thread might not be the best place for you truth be known, CP is full of love but it's love that comes at a price!!

I, for one, resemble that remark.

Sorry this I am not being too clear.
I recently received some bad news, a friend of 20+ years killed himself Monday morning.
I haven't really dealt with or spoken about it this as I am too busy with work. I just shove it back in when I start to think about it.
I woke up on Tuesday morning and had extreme pain in my shoulder and jaw. (never bothered me before).
|
Please seek a qualified medical opinion. Shoulder and Jaw pain can be indicators of medical issues. Even if you are wrong what you are doing is prudent.
Nobody will question your concerns least of all your physician. Don't dismiss this. Your Doctor will most likely recommend stress testing at a certified clinic.
I have done this twice. Thankfully it was all precautionary. However I took no chances and the best piece of manly medical advice I ever received was "nobody dies from embarrassment"
I hope all is well
Cheers

You can choose to ignore the pain like I did at the age of 34. I'm a tough guy and the body and mind will heal itself. Suck it up!
Then as financial stress, booming rental market in calgary forcing me to move three times in eight months I collapsed to the ground while moving stuff inside a rental home all alone.
Suffered a major stroke. Couldnt speak right for over a month, couldnt walk for 6 weeks, and when I finally could walk it was more of a shuffle than walking. Took a year and a half to recover. Lost everything in my life. Suicide was an option at this time.
34 years old, you were doing well in life but had struggles. Ignoring a medical condition can make a treatable condition into a life destroying situation.
I am 43 now and consider myself lucky. Lucky to be alive. Ten years of my life was effected by not seeing a doctor.
You dont want to go on a journey like I did. I have had tonnes of physical and mental therapy. The mental issues were based on the tough guy attitude. Today I am still a tough guy. Still have that attitude. Yet I seek help now when needed.
Go see a doctor, dont be like I was.
You know you have a problem! Car breaks down you fix it. When people breakdown, we ignore the issue. Why? Cause it might get better if we do nothing? Doesnt work that way with cars, doesnt work that way with people.
Go see a doctor and dont be like me!
Throw your ego out the door. Yet if you dont want to seek help let me give you a run down on how things can change.
One day you may drop to the floor and lose the ability to speak, walk, control bowel movement, yes #### yourself, you will drool alot, and as you try to send messages from your brain to body parts those messages are ignored.
Ego? Tough guy, dont look to tough when your ####ting yourself uncontrollably! That really adjusts a person ego.
Go see a doctor. An hour or two could change your life. I didnt do that, now instead of an hour or two of my time it has taken ten years to get back to who I am.
You are a ticking time bomb. Please dont be like me.
Go see a doctor!

Experiencing loss to suicide is also a risk factor for suicide. I'm not trying to scare UCB, but he should definitely talk to some professionals if he feels he needs to.

I'm hoping he's just working things out and dealing with what he has to deal with.
Part of it is also that weird emotional vortex that happens when you post a question or statement on a public board and then on relection after looking at the responses if it was the right thing to do.

Literally everything is physical. Everything a person can feel is tied to physical reactions in the brain, which controls everything else. There isn't some biological divide separating your brain from the rest of you. It's all connected. There's a reason that anxiety is linked to stomach ulcers.

Yeah I did and things are good. It is just a bit raw as the 1 year date approaches.
