Yes, I can recommend Keith, too. He arrived promptly this morning and serviced my old furnace. He offered some sage advice on filters and return air ducts. For sure I will call him back in the next few weeks to clean the ducts.

Thanks, Keith.

Had Keith by my new place last week and again he blew me away with his knowledge and dedication to his craft! My only regret is that I didn't call him as soon as I moved in as the furnace was not running correctly at all.

3 thumbs up!

I had Keith serviced my place last week and he fixed all the other furnance companies issues. He did a great job and will only use him now. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful.

I'm repeating what everyone else has said here, but it is worth repeating. I had Keith out to my place for furnace cleaning/maintenance and I was very impressed with his workmanship, knowledge and professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone.

Thanks again Keith!

I've recommended Keith to at least three of my buds or colleagues recently. Everyone was quite pleased with him, some even said he was an awesome guy to deal with. Keep fighting the good fight, Keith!

Hey Keith, question for you.

Is the gas valve pressure something you normally check as part of your inspection?

Had some HVAC repairs done and the guy noticed my furnace was running extremely hot, he checked the pressure at the valve with his manometer and it was over 6 and couldn't be adjusted down any further. (he stated the standard is 3-3.5 and my furnace manual showed that as well)

So I didn't know if this has been faulty since new or if this is something that has failed recently. You've been out twice since we built the house, so I figured I'd check with you.

Thanks

Note: I know the company quite well and the people who own it, so I trust this isn't some shady move to fix something that isn't broke.

Hello

Are you sure this guy was reading the meter correctly? All furnaces are checked at Install for gas pressures and as a part of warranty.

High water column gas pressures that high are very noticeable without a meter nevermind with a meter.
Theres no way im walking out of a house knowing its that high and yes ive checked it previously and it was never high and no where near close to even 3.8-4.0.
What was he there to fix?
If it was a limit or pressure switch or more like a inducer motor he needs to fix gas pressure issue immediately.
Most every thing on that Furnace is temperature sensitive and he CANNOT just walk out knowing this.
Email me direct please if you need my gasfitter to come out and adjust it because that guy failed you and thees no other ways to say it.

Hey man,

Curious,
So my current landlord (hes a twat) has a furnace in this house that dates to about 1991. He has never cleaned it (we tried to have someone come out and he lost his ####) SO last month when we had the crazy cold the thing killed over.

We had the gas company come in to repair it and they changed the motor (twice in 3 days) and a bunch of other things. They also told us that the ducts in the house are not even close to being up to code.

How and when should you replace one of these things? my landlord seems to think a furnace should last you 40-50 years.

Oh and we are moving next month cause we cant stand dealing with such a slum lord. Worse hes rich... kills me.

^^^ Maybe have Atco take a look at the furnace. If there are some deficiencies that might make the furnace unsafe they might write it up and force your landlord into springing for a new one, lest whatever consequences might arise.

they can condemn it and will if bad enough.....deeming the house unfit for habitation.

seems the wealthier the landlord the more of a slumlord they are.

Keith came by my place a couple weeks ago and did a great job cleaning and assessing any problems with the furnace.

My dog also ran away when Keith came in the door, and he chased her down the block until he caught her.

For all your furnace cleaning and dog catching needs, Keith is your man!

Actually the dog ran out an un latched door and I was petting it. Then when it saw it's owner it took off.
Her exact words were " she won't come back now as she has no recall." It ran 2 .5 kms away to the community center where it followed someone inside and I yelled don't let that dog get away grab it's collar I'm coming.

Found out when I returned with dog over my shoulder it's done this over 30 times .
