I really wish they'd $#%& off with these photo radar things. They don't do anything to actively slow people down.
On the subject of detectors: I only keep Ka enabled in the city, and X/K/Ka enabled on the highway. False alarms on the highway are few and far between, certainly not enough to them for me to actively throw away data.
I've seen X used on the way to Lethbridge before (Nanton, I believe). X band starts screaming, I slow down and sure enough there's a cop hiding on the side of the road.
