I got a ride downtown today to drop off my jury summons form. In the 20 minutes I was a passenger in the car in the core I was able to get as many balls as it usually takes me 2-3 hours to get near home. I knew it was better, but I couldn't dream of how much better. I even probably missed half the stops due to speed. Crazy.

So I burnt off some gym coin on incubators and hatched all the eggs I had in inventory. Went out tonight for a bit and refilled the egg basket. Got eight 2km eggs and one 5k. I don't usually put 2k eggs in disposable incubators, but put them all in today. Should hatch them all tonight and will post what I get out of them.

Cleared all my eggs out this afternoon. Apparently you can get some pretty good stuff from 2km eggs and Gen 2 starters are hatching from 5km eggs.

Started the event at 550,000 xp out of 750,000 and level 32. We'll see where I end up. I've got 24 lucky eggs.

First 2k of the event was a Phanpy, which is usually a 5k. Got 8 10k eggs hatching with my streaks tomorrow. Got lots of lucky eggs. It's gonna be good.

Meh.
Won't spend another fake dime on incubators. If you are early into playing the game, it would be great.

Just got back from a long walk where I was evolving and hatching my 8 10k eggs with a lucky egg running. Man, that was super effective.

Got about 300k exp in an hour. Only got through roughly 75 evolves because I was spinning stops, getting tons of new pokedex entries, and my phone is an old, slow iPhone 5.

Hatched 2 Dratinis, a Chansey, 4 Pinecos , and a Gligar. Pokedex went from ~110 to 157. Evolved my first Gyardos and powered him up to 2439, which I think is pretty good for level 25. He's got Dragon Tail and Outrage. Seems ok.

I need to catch a ton of garbage Pokemon before this event ends. I still have hundreds of candy for all the usual evolve suspects, and sitting on 29 lucky eggs.

I wonder if I can get myself anywhere near 30 in the next 6 days. Pretty exciting thought.

Hatched a couple of Chanseys recently, so now I'm walking for the last few candies for a Blissey.

I have enough candies to evolve a Feraligator too, but I want to catch one more Totodile so that I can evolve all the way from Totodile.

Personal best of 440k xp in the last 24h with the event. I want lvl36 by Thursday.

I'm miles behind everyone else in here, but I've gone from a total cumulative experience of 458,205 on Thursday to 1,057,655 today. I took a screenshot before the event started as an easy record. Feels pretty nice to more than double my exp with ease.

I played for about a month when the game first came out, then quit for basically the entire winter sometime around late August. Picked it back up a couple months ago. I'd never done any evolutions in the entire time I played until this event. Missed out on the fall double exp, so I hung on anticipating another one eventually.

What I really need now is Pidgeys and Weedles before this thing ends. Can evolve like 50 more of each with the candy I have, but have no actual Pokemon since I was running out of space a while back and transferred a bunch. It's crawling with Spinaraks, Hoothoots and Ledybas around here, which sucks since 2/3 of those are 50 candy evolves. Quite a few Rattatas, but I exhausted that candy. Pidgeys are suddenly scarce.

MY brother and I are going to the game tomorrow and talked about going early and taking advantage of some much more dense stops in the downtown area. Any suggestions for where we should walk? We thought maybe just straight up 17th as far as we want to go. Maybe we'll actually get some good egg distance for once by walking in a straight line.
