For those who always complained the PS3 controllers were too small

^^ For me, I've always hated the thumbstick layout. They're just not in a natural position. Love the dual-shock D-pad though.

That is going to be uncomfortable.
I find the existing ps3 controllers to be a bit small, my one hand smothers a good 60 percent of the controller.
Those xshlitz controllers look like smart phone size.

I am confused now.
Is the PS4 controller bigger or the Xbox One Controller smaller.
Edit: Sounds like it is both- PS4 controller is much bigger, Xbox One Controller is a little smaller.

That's been the same complaint I've had. Since they first brought out the analog controllers back in the PS1 days, I've always hated the location of the left joystick, which is why I bought one of these for my own PS3:

It really doesn't bother me. I have both systems and regularly go back and fourth between them for gaming, and I never have to adjust to the different controllers

The Xbox One will not include a wired headset when the console hits store shelves this November, Microsoft has informed us. The headset, which Microsoft describes as "a must-have for fans of online gaming," has no announced MSRP as of press time.
Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 , priced at $100 less than the Xbox One, will include a headset in the box when it ships this fall, a Sony representative has confirmed with Joystiq.

Is there a single incentive to buy the Xbox over the PS4 other than a couple of exclusives?

The kinect always on provides interesting data gathering opportunities for microsoft. It could track how you pay attention to tv you watch to provide much more robust data on viewership, show ratings and most important attention to commercials.

I just don't get how it isnt a bigger issue with people that ms can be watching them whenever the xbox is on. If its true that the camera cant be blocked i think thats a deal breaker for me. I could handle paying the extra money and the whole used game deal but this just creeps me the eff out.

Ugh. It's been proven several times that it won't be recording or "watching" anything. If anyone ever found out, MS would be litigated into bankruptcy.

Sony Bravia TVs for instance have:
-advanced facial recognition to, and i quote directly from Sony, "analyse and monitor who is watching the screen"
-spacial analysis to automatically optimize sound and picture depending on where someone is sitting
-detect if children are sitting too close and warn them or even turn the tv off
-detect motion and body heat to detect room presence
The Kinnect may do these things better but these things are already present in electronics today (another example is a current cell phone being advertised based on how it pauses videos when you look away from the screen).

Quite surprised by this. I understand the need to keep cost down, but the packed-in mic was one of the biggest points of jealousy for me as a PS3 gamer. Sure it added to the problem of hearing every 13 year old in the the deep south slinging racial slurs at me, but it also allowed for the times when communication was a benefit. Getting a group of PS3 gamers together always ended with a headache as nobody could ever communicate properly. Rather surprised to see MS not keep moving forward with that.

Heads up- thesource.ca has a promo running for a few days. Enter code 039362 at checkout, and you save 15% even on preordered accessories. I'm not sure about games, but I'm happy to save $9 on a spare controller. Free shipping, too. It does not offer savings on PSN cards or Xbox Live cards.

Considering how incredibly valuable that information would be, it's hard to think that no one would be trying to get at it. Technically the US gov't shouldn't be spying on it's own citizens and was officially not doing so, and yet it was (I admit I don't really know the snowden story that well, my main point is we live in a world of knowledge hoarders and lying liers).
I'd keep the tinfoil hat on about this, and I can't think of any reason to take it off at any point.

Really, a spycam+mic ain't nothing a piece of electrical tape and bandaid can't solve.
Not to mention, the Kinect is likely an attached sensor array? I can't imagine it being very useful if it's attached to the console itself. Just stick it behind the TV or in a Faraday Cage or something.

I wonder how many people who complain about Big Brother watching because the XBone has an integrated camera and mic own a laptop with an integrated camera and mic...or a mobile phone with an integrated camera and mic that also tracks your location wherever you go.
